I was playing the Hospital Island level and my goal was to murder everyone (its hugely entertaining). Having done so (all guards, all patients and all innocents being dead) I made my way back to my boat. When I got to the staircase leading back down to the dock (the left-hand staircase as you approach it), a Clone was at the bottom. He started firing at me and I returned fire. He ran along the wall towards the doorway which is locked at the beginning of the level. I cautiously made my way down the steps and walked where he had just done so. After a few steps I saw the door open. As I approached it, it closed. I opened it to find nothing, just a small room with another door at the other end. I also noticed that the crates at the dock had been rearranged, blocking off access to the other staircase from the ground and blocking off the path to the big boat. I stepped inside the small room and BANG! Big explosion and I was dead.

But where was the Clone? And what was he doing there? Where does that door lead to? Has anybody else ever come across the same thing?

Well, the clone is meant to be there, and of course he's rather sly. The door at the back of the room was the exit point for the clone, and a clone being a clone - he's sly - so he set a trap, and you went for it Smile (as I fell quite a lot of us have in the past).

I think someone (somewhere!) managed to get throught the far door (cheating, or using a glitch), and there's nothing past it.

Mike

Perhaps I'll put this in big letters now, so as not to ruin the story line and surprises of the game for anyone.

***SPOILER***

There you go, you're welcome.

Spoiler? Sorry, I sometimes do forget that I finished the darn game too many times over Wink

Besides, it's not _that_ much of a spoiler, especially if you played H1.

just to ease your inquisitive little mind, the bomb only goes off if *you* enter - I once managed to shove a cultist in there and nothing happened. Go in in God mode and.... suprise.... you survive and nothing at all happens except you get shut in and it's really annoying to get out. The idea is to NOT go in and, instead, leave on your boat and kill him in the next mission. Smile

I never followed that clone; I was too afraid when I saw him and quickly ran away in my boat, off to safety.
