I'd suggest buying a new sound card. soundblaster 16 is stone-age old for computers these days, if I am thinking properly at this time of morning.

Definitely - buy a new card. I'm amazed the SB16 still works!

Incidently, the lowest SB officially supported by H2 is the SoundBlaster 128, and even that has problems.

SB 16? Yup, I'll second that. Get a new card. SoundBlaster Live! 5.1 Player is now ludicrously cheap, good quality and (as the name suggests) does EAX.

Or you could try this fine example of a soundcard, the...

Excellent. And impressive as well. Those things were ancient. Thinking about it, the last card I had before my Live was an SB16 - and it was pretty rubbish to be honest (I actually had more fun with my SB Pro 2 before it).

But hey - it works Smile

Should go in the Knowledgebase methinks...
