I never played that one, but I heard lots of good reviews. I was interested in trying it just because the story was provided by the comic writers, so it should be exceptional for a game.

But these beat-em-up games tend to get repetitive quickly.

I only played it for a couple of minutes up until now but I don't like the controls. It's over the shoulder so you can see every inch of batman awesomeness but that just makes the controls awkward and not very fluid. But maybe I should play it more.
I played Bastion yesterday for the first time, that's pretty cool actually.

Did you buy the humble bundle as well? I've been playing Bastion as well. Everything's got style, and I like it.

I did! Just this Saturday I think. Bastion is the only game I installed as of yet. What I like is the narrator who narrates in the fly such a nice gimmick.
As of now I only got to the Bastion and I'm trying to see what happens next.

I just got back to the Bastion with the last core and upon my return Zulf (whom I never trusted!) destroyed everything.
The level after that when I had to get the shard was psychodelic. It didn't help that I chose a couple of idols to make things harder (since I got a great spirit in the distillery which gives me 2 extra health potions I decided it was too easy).
But yeah, the game is great, nice story, nice visuals, nice gameplay. You can make it as hard as you want for yourself. Really nice.

Yeah, really like the idol feature. Clever way of working with difficulty curves. And no more spoilers, because I'm only a little bit ahead of you.

I wanted to play some more yesterday but my mother called me with my visa bill which arrived at home. It was my bill for my brief stay in the America's, quite steep.

I still like the game! What's your favourite combination of weapons?

I generally dislike customization, so I don't change it usually. Which means I now have the pike and the six-shooters, with whatever special attack I never use that was last added to the list. When a new weapon shows up I'll probably just keep using that one as well.

I also have the pike and the shooters and I kept them because the next couple of weapons aren't that good in my opinion.
I also bought the Pike Vault special which is quite conventient.

For your information,if you bought the Humble Bundle, they just added 3 more games which you can claim! Including Braid and Super Meat Boy. I think I now own all the indie games worth owning and it only cost me 10 dollars or something.

Awesome. This was a really good deal, even to begin with, but Braid and Lone Survivor both peaked my interest. Don't regret that 11 dollars one bit.

What I find most interesting about the sale is that the Linux users have paid the most by a large margin. Most people have the opinion that if a user won't pay for their OS they won't pay for much else.

Maybe it will promote support for the OS among (indie) developers?

So both those that get their OS for free (Linux) and those that run machines that are more expensive than their counterparts from other companies (Mac) pay more than Windows people. I think it only tells us people using Windows are more numerous than the others so any possible outliers are canceled out by eachother. Only a very small percentage of buyers uses Linux so I don't think developers will focus more on Linux.

Statistics'd!

You're not helping the software-fanboy war here.

I'm trying to help the "let's all get rational" war :p

I finished Bastion, I expected more from the end I think but still all in all a very good game.
I also played and finished Braid but I got to admit I used some walkthroughs to get all the pieces and only then did I notice there was such a thing as a 'star'. I'm not too good with these kind of games. It's quite hard.
Now I'm playing Quantum Conundrum, that's more my cup of tea. It's my suggestion of the week!

I think I'm near the end of Bastion, but then I went on holidays. I have so much catching up to do.

Holidays is probably better. Social activities and all. Also, beer drinking.
I've been to Ireland for a short conference last week with 8 other people from my lab (7 of which were women, drama has been had). So I also have to catch up, but at least I had Guinness!

The Guinness was okay, I've had several over the days, they were all okay.
The conference was very interesting.
