Just to inform all doubters and finger-pointers - the Edit4o7 Project is still go! I've been having connection problems recently and will remain away from the boards until the 2nd June (i'm on holiday) - when I am back, I expect happy people with happy comments about happy things - not this doubting poop we've had recently
So cheer up - you miserable lot

*sob* It's glad to see you back man. I thought you had died on me. Please forgive us for ever doubting!
BTW - I feel you on the connection problems. I couldn't hook up this morning to update Today's Piece of the Action. Tomorrow's will have to be extra special (somebody send something good). _________________ Michael "Tech21" Calfee[br]Site Director, HitmanHQ |

No, it never reached a usable state, and the project is very dead. _________________ Comedy = Tragedy + Time/Relevance |

This thread makes me wonder why Io-I haven't produced any map editor for their games. You'd think they have some internal software to create the maps for each game, and to allow a simple import tool for the geography + placement of targets/guards to make generic contracts would make a much stronger and connected community.
It's not like it would discourage people from buying the sequels, as they wouldn't be able to produce as complicated and story-driven a series of missions as the retail product.
Hey, you remember when developers encouraged users to modify and create with their technology? Where did those days go? |

Doesn't he basically rely on modders to fix his code up for him after each release? I've heard that even though he doesn't provide any source code, a dedicated group of people reverse-engineer it in a matter of a week or two after his every patch. |
