HITMAN
You have a floor plan?
NEXUS
I will in a sec.
He types and an overhead map appears on his screen.
HITMAN
That dot's the security console, right?
Nexus nods.
HITMAN
Get moving. Behind me.
He walks off, through the opened security door. Nexus unplugs the laptop and hurries after him. He leaves the computer logged on in his hurry.
CUT TO:
INT. THE AGENCY- NIGHT
McInnery SLAMS down the phone.
MCINNERY
Send out the call. We evacuate at the earliest opportunity.
The Controller jumps into action, typing quickly while picking up a phone next to him.
The Agent takes McInnery aside.
AGENT
How long do we have before they're on us?
MCINNERY
Twenty minutes before scorched earth. Does the Controller know about this?
AGENT
No. He has to stay. Protocol.
McInnery nods.
MCINNERY
Put out the call. I hope the system has been tested.
AGENT
Twice annually.
MCINNERY
Good.
AGENT
What's the call sign?
McInnery SIGHS.
MCINNERY
How many are staying?
AGENT
Over half.
McInnery nods, resolute.
MCINNERY
Order 'Crimson Sky'.
AGENT
Sir.
He picks up the phone and dials. McInnery wanders over to a ceiling sprinkler, tapping it's head absently.
CUT TO:
INT. THE BASEMENT- NIGHT
The Hitman leads the way, rushing down stairs, MP5 in hand. He glances around often without slowing his descent. Nexus runs behind him, a fair while behind.
The CAMERA TILTS BACK to show the many flights of stairs, spiraling up into darkness.
NEXUS
Jeez, slow down a bit!
The Hitman doesn't do so. They finally come to the end of the stairs, into a murky dark sprawling basement of various halls and closed rooms.
TOOL'S 'LATERALUS' mixes into the scene. The Hitman waves Nexus to follow him before the pair enters the dark.
A computer terminal sits near a final, gargantuan, security door that blocks their path. Nexus plugs in his laptop to the computer and starts typing.
INT. THE AGENCY- NIGHT
The Controller types one handed while speaking on the phone:
