We FOCUS on his eyes, steel gray even in the darkness of the corridors.
Suddenly, without noticeable provocation, he swings his MP5 to the left, letting off a BURST of GUNFIRE.
Lobo, moves behind a corner as the bullets ricochet off metal covered walls.
The Hitman leans back, behind a wall, cool and calm.
Lobo comes from behind his hiding spot, M60 FIRING.
The Hitman runs.
CUT TO:
INT. THE AGENCY- NIGHT
We can HEAR THE GUNFIRE in the distance.
AGENT
Shit...
MCINNERY
Get ready men. Send out a welcoming committee. I want four, no five, five SWAT teams out in front.
AGENT
Sir.
He picks up the phone. McInnery moves over to the monitors. One is totally DARK, but lights up occasionally with WHITE FLASHES in line with the GUNSHOTS heard.
MCINNERY
( To himself)
Ten minutes to Armageddon.
CUT TO:
INT. THE HUB- NIGHT
The Hitman leans around his corner, firing blindly with his MP5. CHUNKS OF METAL are BLOWN out of the wall, prompting the Hitman to duck from the onslaught.
He runs again as Lobo steps into view, M60 FIRING.
The Hitman sprints, bullets WHIZZING past his head, leaving white streaks in the murk. As he runs, he hunches over, covering his head with his black coat.
He becomes invisible in the dark.
Lobo halts instantaneously, his eyes slits, squinting in an attempt to spy the Hitman's frame.
His feet propel him slowly forward.
Out of nowhere, the Hitman dashes into view, launching himself at Lobo. Lobo FIRES spasmodically as he crashes to the ground.
CUT TO:
INT. THE AGENCY- NIGHT
We see, on the monitor, the M60 flashes, as the Hitman and Lobo struggle on the ground. McInnery whirls away from the monitor.
MCINNERY
( To the Agent)
Let's go open that door.
The Agent nods.
CONTROLLER
Do I stay-
MCINNERY
You stay here. We'll be back soon.
They walk out of the door, after McInnery presses a concealed green button.
MCINNERY
( To the Controller)
Keep it up.
He shuts the door.
CUT TO:
INT. THE HUB- NIGHT
Lobo kicks the Hitman, sending him rolling out of view, back into darkness, allowing himself to disappear in the deep shadow.
Lobo starts to move after the Hitman, but swerves around to notice moving shadows appear on the wall behind.
He frowns and slides into the dark, waiting for the men to round the corner.
He freezes as an MP5 is shoved into the side of his head, the finger about to pull the trigger.
