NEXUS
Is that ok?
The Hitman nods.
NEXUS
Good, 'cause I have to get my house cleaned up before my parents come back from holiday. It's their house.
The Hitman nods again.
NEXUS
So you remember the way to my house?
HITMAN
We're not going there.
They reach a BMW with one window wound down on the passenger's side.
NEXUS
What? Where then?
HITMAN
D.C.
NEXUS
What?! That's clear across the damn country! No way man, I'm not-
The Hitman pulls a few hundred dollar bills from his pocket and hands them to Nexus.
HITMAN
A deposit.
Nexus pockets it immediately and gets in the car.
INT. THE BMW- NIGHT
There is a CRUNCH as Nexus sits on glass granules.
NEXUS
What the fuck?
He notices that the window hasn't been wound down, but broken.
NEXUS
Jeez... you're just full of surprises. If the cops come, I'm bailing.
The Hitman hotwires the car, which hums into life. The Hitman makes his way onto the open road.
NEXUS
This had better be worth it.
HITMAN
It will be.
NEXUS
Had better.
HITMAN
It'll be dangerous.
NEXUS
What did I expect with you? Oh well, you did save my life. I guess I can help you out.
HITMAN
Good.
Nexus looks around the car.
NEXUS
Who was that other guy? The one that was after you so bad?
HITMAN
A friend.
NEXUS
Yeah? Well I hope your friend stays out of my way. Got a bruise the size of a friggin' watermelon. And the cops came asking all sorts of fucking questions. I had to hide like a hundred gigs of stuff in the backyard...
Nexus falls silent.
HITMAN
Either way you'll get paid.
NEXUS
Won't help me if he gets me.
FADE TO:
EXT. TRAIN STATION- NIGHT
Nexus and the Hitman enter a train and sit. Slowly, the train pulls out. It speeds away into the distance.
