Disecting the Demo

Behavior Paths

Due to its complexity, stationary NPCs are not represented on the map. You may view all real time positions of NPCs through your map function if you play on easy. Medium and hard difficulty settings will only give you the real time position of the target, the Don.

Behavior Paths

Main Characters:

The Don
The Don doesn't have a patrol per-say, but he does have a regular behavior pattern before he is alerted. At the beginning he can be seen practicing his golf swing on the balcony outside his bedroom. He practices his swing a bit then moves by the most direct route to his office. He stands there a bit then goes back to balcony to practice his swing. The Don will repeat this pattern until he is alerted, at that point, if he is not already there, will return to his office and stay there.

Vito Anguillo
Vito has two paths to follow and both share the same start point. The start point is at the northeast section of the pool. From there he can go down the eastern staircase to a point in the northeast section of the garden. There he will go through a urination animation then return to the start point the exact way he got to that point.

The second behavior path is a one way circular patrol taking him all the way up to the balcony outside the boss' office on the second floor. From the start point he enters the villa by the door that's closest, walks down the hall past the three doors to the kitchen, then up the servant stairway into the upstairs dining room. From the dining room he goes through the door at the opposite side of the room into the hallway, and down the hallway to the door that leads to the boss's office.

Inside the office, he will walk across to go through the western door to the balcony. Out on the balcony Vito will pause. From here Vito will travel back to the start point through the western wing instead of the eastern wing which he used to get there. From the point on the balcony, he leaves the balcony by the same door he used to get out there. Inside the boss' office he uses the western door to get to the western staircase. In the room at the bottom of the staircase, Vito goes through the door on the eastern wall. Then, inside the small room he chooses the door on the northern wall to the outside courtyard/pool area. Once outside he moves east along the shallow end of the pool then north to the start point. He will repeat this path before and after the Don has been alerted, unless he goes to look for or to attack you.

The Don's Son
The son almost shares the exact behavior paths as Vito. The Don's son uses a point just to the left of Vito for a start point. The Don's son also has another point just to the left of Vito's in the northeast section of the garden that he walks to for his own urination animation. He travels back to the start point the exact way he got there. The Don's son also has a point on the balcony outside the boss' office on the second floor that his behavior path takes him to. He uses the same path that Vito uses to get there but instead of having a circular patrol path to return to the start point he just uses the same path he used to get to the point on the balcony outside the boss' office on the second floor.

Mafia Lawyer
Until an alarm is sounded he can be found in his office on the second floor. When the alarm is sounded he will move by the most direct route to the boss' office. There he will not move from the office except to shoot you down. The lawyer's path is not marked on the map due to its simplicity.
