Hitman: The Agency Screenplay (Part 5)
by: Anson Fehross | April 28, 2002

The Hitman snatches it away. He stares at it, momentarily... he pieces the facts together.

His eyes dart to the side for a split-second...

A taxi speeds straight at the storefront.

SALESMAN

Holy...

The taxi SLAMS through the storefront, sending GLASS FLYING and smashing the bars guarding the front.

The Hitman moves into action, sweeping up the weapons and moving away into the side section of the store. The salesman goes under the counter and takes out a sawn off shotgun.

Lobo gets out of the Taxi, leaving the driver in the airbag, unconscious.

SALESMAN

Stop you-

Lobo doesn't slow his stride.

SALESMAN

Hey, stop!

Lobo's SPAS-12 DISCHARGES. The salesman folds. The other customers dash out of the store.

Lobo moves into the back of the store.

INT. BACK OF THE GUN STORE- DAY

Rows upon rows of tall shelves filled with handguns, rifles and ammunition divide up the large room. The room is almost twice as big as the store itself.

The Hitman sits, at the far end of the store, loading his desert eagles, snapping the clips in with cold, fluid motion. Lobo is out of his view.

Lobo moves into the room, his SPAS-12 in one hand. He walks to one of the shelves and unshackles a Colt python. He walks slowly, silently, onward.

The Hitman finishes loading and shoves the three desert eagles with the Glock in his pants. He stands, the MP5K in his hands.

He moves...

The two hitmen slowly walk through the store, each searching for the other.

The Hitman scans the isles in front of him, every now and then glancing behind furtively before continuing on. He moves crouched, sneaking

Lobo walks quickly, assuredly. Pure confidence. He stops...

Underneath one of the shelves, a slight shadow can be seen, moving slowly across. THE ROOTS & BT 'TAO OF THE MACHINE' comes into the scene.

Immediately Lobo swings up the Colt and FIRES.

Instantly, a GAPING HOLE is blown through the wooden shelf, missing the Hitman by inches. He dives backwards, FIRING the MP5K as he does so.

Lobo ducks and slides across the linoleum floor on his side, avoiding the volley. As he does so, he sends THREE COLT ROUNDS at the Hitman.

The Hitman indivertibly follows Lobo's lead, and flings himself to the floor before pushing across the slippery floor to thrust himself forward.

Lobo and the Hitman both slide along, FIRING WILDLY at each other across the two parallel isles. The Hitman FIRES his MP5K and Lobo twists as he propels himself to evade the gunfire. Lobo returns fire, his SPAS-12 sending DEBRIS FLYING. The pair slide to the end of the isle...

The Hitman gets up from the floor and twists to FIRE a BURST at Lobo. Lobo dives away out of view, as the Hitman drops the empty MP5K and whips out the two Desert Eagles.

Lobo crouches in an isle away from the Hitman, loading the SPAS-12. He raises up and moves around the isle.

The Hitman backs his way toward the door, his eyes darting, looking for Lobo's frame. He can't be found.

Suddenly, Lobo LEAPS across the Hitman's path and FIRES his SPAS-12 into the Hitman's chest. The Hitman LIFTS OFF the ground and falls HEAVILY on the floor. Instantly, he slides back, FIRING his handguns, two-fisted, as Lobo scrambles away again...

The Hitman stays on the floor, waiting, the Desert Eagles SMOKING in his hands... a slight METALLIC sound is heard to the Hitman's left.

The Hitman rolls to his right just as the shelf to his right has a HOLE BLOWN in it, SMASHING the linoleum where his head was.
