Hitman: The Agency Screenplay (Part 4)
by: Anson Fehross | March 7, 2002

MCINNERY

It means that if one of our cloned friends turns rouge all we have to do is point a special remote control at the offender and that's all she wrote.

AGENT

Oh.

MCINNERY

Not that it helps us with 47.

CONTROLLER

47 was created to disappear into the ether. Makes him hard to shadow.

MCINNERY

Well I want results, fast. Otherwise we've done for. We'll have let Satan himself into our midst.

AGENT

He's only one man...

MCINNERY

So was Satan.

McInnery sits down.

MCINNERY

I'm staying here until this matter is dealt with. Proceed gentlemen.

FADE TO:

INT. DUPONT CIRCLE RAILWAY STATION- DAY

The train stops allowing the Hitman out while many file in past him. He moves quickly, his eyes darting around the station. Lobo is not to be found.

The Hitman exits.

EXT. DOWNTOWN WASHINGTON-DAY

The Hitman walks uphill, his thoughts audible.

HITMAN (V.O.)

I've got to throw them off balance somehow, hit them with the unexpected... I'll have to take my time to think this through, get everything working in my favor.

He walks up to the Hilton hotel. The door is opened by a doorman.

DOORMAN

Travel light sir?

HITMAN

Not particularly. Business tools you see.

DOORMAN

Fair enough sir, enjoy your stay.

The Hitman enters.

INT. HILTON LOBBY- DAY

The Hitman walks up to the desk.

HOTEL CASHIER

Hello sir, what can I do for you?

HITMAN

I'd like a room please, for one.

HOTEL CASHIER

Have you booked?

HITMAN

No... change of plans you see.

HOTEL CASHIER

Luggage?

HITMAN

Only my briefcase.

HOTEL CASHIER

We'll need a week in advance bond if you have less than two pieces of luggage.

HITMAN

Fine fine.

HOTEL CASHER

Name please.

HITMAN

Martin.

HOTEL CASHIER

Second name?

HITMAN

Blank. Martin Q. Blank.

FADE OUT.
